ESTONIAN CHEER OPEN 2022 RULES

Participation fee: 

Early registration 11 – 31 October 20 eur/athlete

Registration 1 – 14 November 30 eur/athlete

Early registration prices: routines should be entered at the latest 31.10.2022 at 22.00 (GMT +3), we recommend entering the routines with the right name to the right division.

Regular registration prices: routines should be entered at the latest 14.11.2022 at 22.00 (GMT +3), we recommend entering the routines with the right name to the right division.

Latest registration deadline: 14th November 2021*

*After 14th of November it is not possible to add routines or persons to the competition. It is possible to substitute athletes in case of injuries or illness. It is not possible to change routine names and divisions after 14th of November.

Please email cheer.emv@gmail.com to get a personal registration form. Please ask for the registration form at least 7 days before the registration deadline.

Registration deadlines:

  • Early bird until 31st October 2022 at 22.00 (GMT +3)
  • Regular until 14th November 2022 at 22.00 (GMT +3)

 

Cancellation and substitutes

The club has the right to substitute athletes, in case athletes not competing the registration fee will not be refunded after 1st of November.

All trainers, athletes and assistant personnel are required to follow the antidoping rules. Read more: Estonian Center for Integrity in Sports.

Please follow all the safety rules of the sport of Cheerleading. 

Please send all the questions about the rules and regulations until 24.11.2021 to cheer.emv@gmail.com. Please include a video of the stunt/element.

Trainers meeting: After the end of the competition all the trainers have to meet up at the referees desk/room, where the deductions are discussed. After the meeting it is not possible to dispute the results.

Cheerleading

  • Competition area for Cheerleading divisions is covered with matts: 15 meters x 10 meters (W x D).
  • The length of the Group Stunt ja Partner Stunt routine is 1 minute +/- 10 seconds. 
  • The time will be measured and the routine that is longer will get deduction points.
  • No Cheer Portion is needed in Level 2 Team routines as this will not be evaluated.
  • Using music is optional.
  • The spotter is mandatory in Partner Stunt categories.
  • Group Stunt category is open for 4-5 athletes: 1 flyer with 3 bases and 1 additional spotter (optional). 
  • In small teams (5-15 athletes) up to 10 athletes are allowed 1 younger or older athlete (maximum 2 years), in case of 10-15 athletes up to 2 athletes (maximum 2 years) younger or older are allowed. Partner stunts and ECL Team categories do not follow the same rule.
  • Partner Stunt and Group Stunt – athletes can compete in several categories (eg group stunt, partner), but only at the same level. For example, athletes can compete in Level 4 Partner and Level 4 Group Stunt. Athletes cannot compete at Level 2 Group Stunt and Level 4 Partner/Group.
  • Competing at the Group Stunt/Partner Stunt and Team categories are allowed and do not follow the same rule as described in the previous point. 

Performance Cheer

  • Competition floor: parquet floor with measurements 15 meters x 12 meters (W x D). 
  • Max length of Team routines is 2 minutes and 15 seconds.
  • Max length of the Doubles routine is 1 minute and 30 seconds.
  • The time will be measured and the routine that is longer will get deduction points.
  • Athletes are allowed to compete in several performance cheer categories.
  • It is possible to compete with small teams (6-24), but please note that if you intend to have your score counted for the European Cheer League, you have to fulfill the international criteria for the number of minimum athletes currently set at 16 (18) persons.
  • In small teams up to 10 athletes are allowed 1 younger or older athlete (maximum 2 years), in case of 10-15 athletes up to 2 athletes (maximum 2 years) younger or older are allowed. Doubles and ECL Team categories do not follow the same rule.
